   a spirituous intoxicant
   Chota is small in Hindi, although the measure may not be:
    Better a few too many chota pegs than the possible alternative. (P. Scott, 1968)
   A hurra peg is an even larger measure of spirits. These British Indian phrases are now passing out of use as those who lived or served in India die off. See also PEG.
